Redirection In Rejection

rejection, redirection, positivity, motivational vibes

Have you ever stopped and wondered, about a time in your life when things didn’t go as per the plan set by you? When life came spiralling down, the word rejected swayed heavily on your mind and being? Are you one of the victims of this heinous crime of thinking you are not enough?

Have you ever been in a state of mind where you felt like the burden of the world was on your shoulders where you could not keep up? Even after repeated efforts, all you faced was rejection and downfall? Plans and vision fading into the darkness and a sulky self-emerging?

Like Swedish House Mafia said, “Heaven’s got a plan for you.” Life is not so cruel, after all. Rejection is simply redirection. Everyone who has reached pinnacles of success has at, some point in their life faced downfall, a moment which forced them to hide their face in their pillow, aimlessly playing with that morsel of food in their plate and the horrifying thought lingering around- Why me?

If all of us gave up and just sat around whining about something going wrong, how would you ever know what success is? Rejection is just a whim that exists in our head. Rejection is normal. Rejection happens. It does not demean you of your capabilities or self-worth. It is the result of the conflict between our thought and willingness to push harder. It is our inability to focus on a big “US” than a small “Everything Else”.

Words such as “Fail”, “Rejected”, “No”, that are often negatively attributed have hidden positives in them. It all depends on how you perceive it. These words give you a reality check, causing you to fight harder and not be an emotional wreck. Failure is a condiment that adds the right amount of flavour to your success. In a world where the comparison between two is a yardstick for measuring your abilities and worthiness, these words often cause discomfort. It drives away the will to work harder when all they mean to do is set you in the right direction. Rejection refines us. The ones who fall prey to its’ enervating claws- blighted.

One of the aspects that people tend to forget is- acceptance. Every time you hear the dreaded word “NO” a mountain of emotions pile up and cloud your judgement. What one should do instead is, accept the now. Acceptance is the only way you will never feel upset or dwell on a situation gone wrong for more time than required. Yes, the art of facing rejection, quite frankly, comes from acceptance. It redirects you to be in tune with how things should be rather than how you expect them to be.

Rejection breaks open your unconscious bubble and limited sight; helping you see the greater good. It helps you to realise what your weaknesses are, what needs improvement and focus your energy on shoving the loser mentality out of your system. It is a reality that makes you see that when one door closes, a simple kick in the ass can open a plethora of opportunities for you, provided you wish to grab it!

Competition is fierce, where a simple rejection can feel like a blow at their ego. While being welcoming towards every knockdown, one should not give themselves the consolation of satisfaction with the limited that you have achieved. One should always continue to work harder, sharpen your skills, enrich their knowledge and fight back harder to secure their goals. The battle is not about who is better than me? It is honestly about how better am I than I was yesterday? People often feel insulted when faced with rejection. They find it hard to believe that they could fail. However, what they forget to comprehend is the battle of their mind and ego, ego often winning.

One cannot allow their emotions to cloud their thinking capabilities as well as being naive. Embracing rejection with open arms will allow you to accept what is, rather than begging and screaming for your version of reality. Maybe the universe is protecting and redirecting you by rejecting you for a place where you are bound to shine. Quite a plot twist?

J.K Rowling rightly said, “It is impossible to live without failing at something unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default.” Learn to see the grass that is always greener on your side. Embrace change and look out for the hidden lesson in every rejection. Next time you face rejection, accept it gracefully, channel that inner energy and redirect your vision for a better future. You will be surprised to experience better things as you will divert to the life of reality.

Yours Truly,

Something what everyone should accept in their life is defeat, ahead of defeat comes a path of light which is clearly mentioned in your blog. Very well written 👍
