मेरे सिर पर दिखते है, ये चंद सफ़ेद बाल,
मुझे मेरे वजूद से मिलते है।
बखूबी निभाया मैंने जिम्मेदारियों को
एहसास ये कराते है।
पार कर उम्र का एक पड़ाव,
दुजे पड़ाव को जी रही हूँ,
पार कर उम्र का एक पड़ाव,
दुजे पड़ाव को जी रही हूँ,
कभी नीम, कभी शहद सी,
घुट घुट जिंदगी पी रही हूँ।
मेरे सिर पर दिखते यह चंद सफ़ेद बाल,
गवाह है मेरे खुशगवार लम्हो के, गवाह है मेरे ग़मगीन आँसुओ के।
एक उम्र बिता दी मैंने जिनके लिये,
गवाह है मेरे उलझे- सुलझे रिश्तों के,
नहीं होता अब जद ओ जहद,
इन्ही नकली रंगो के पीछे छिपाने की।
नहीं जरूरत मुझे मजबूरन,
बढ़ती उम्र की कम बताने की।
जाने कई तजुर्बे समेटे खुद में,
बेख़ौफ़ यह लहराते है,
मुझको यह मेरे यह चंद सफ़ेद बाल,
यकीन मानो बहुत भाते है।
